WHAT IS SPORTS MASSAGE THERAPY?
Sports massage is a form of massage that involves the manipulation of soft tissue to benefit a person engaged in regular physical activity. It is designed to assist in correcting problems and imbalances in soft tissue that are caused from repetitive and strenuous physical activity and trauma.

The application of sports massage, prior to and after exercise, may enhance performance, aid recovery and prevent injury. Along with a maintenance massage to keep the body's niggles at bay.

WHAT TO EXPECT?
During your appointment
We begin the appointment with a 15 minute initial consultation. Here we will look at postural assessments, range of motion and devise a treatment plan that works for you. If you are happy to proceed the treatment will begin.

You will be asked to remove any clothing within the area the massage will be focusing on, before propping yourself upon the bed. Here you will be asked which massage media you would like and if there are any allergies (oil, cream, wax).
